The meat industry produces meat in great quantities. Even if a reduction here quite obviously would be climate smart, there may be reason to ensure that the production that does take place is used as efficiently as possible. It's not very climate smart to throw away eatable food, is it?
From that perspective, the less sought meat products could very well be looked upon as reasonably climate effective choices. If you are ok to eat these products, that should be fine from a climate perspective. This may be a way to keep up the iron and protein levels for someone that is usually a vegetarian.
